Fluidization of Spherical Particle Beds with non-Newtonian Suspensions
Result description
Fluidization of spherical particle beds with shear thinning fine particle suspensions has been investigated experimentally. Minimum fluidization velocities and the expansion of beds have been evaluated in creeping and transition flow regions. The equations based on power law and Herschel-Bulkley flow models have been suggested for the prediction of bed expansion course.

Fluidace vrstev kulových částic nenewtonskými suspenzemi
Czech description
Byla zkoumána fluidace vrstev kulových částic pseudoplastickými suspenzemi jemných částic. Byly stanoveny prahové rychlosti fluidace a průběhy expanze v plouživé a přechodné oblasti toku. Pro předpověď průběhu expanze byly navrženy rovnice vycházející zmocninového a Herschelova-Bulkleyova tokového modelu.
