    Thermal behaviour and crystallization of titanium-zinc borophosphate glasses

  • Original language description

    Thermal behaviour of the glass series 50ZnO-10B2O3-40P2O5+xTiO2 (with x = 0-64 mol% TiO2) was investigated by DSC and TMA. The addition of TiO2 results in a nonlinear increase of glass transition temperature. The compositional dependences of thermal stability, evaluated by two criteria exhibit two maxima for the glasses doped with 12 and 56 mol% TiO2. All the glasses crystallize on heating in the temperature range of 576-670°C. The crystallization mechanism was studied at the glasses with 24 and 56 mol%TiO2 and the results showed that surface nucleation mechanism prevails in these glasses over the internal one.

    Pomocí DSC a TMA bylo studováno termické chování skel v kompoziční řadě 50ZnO-10B2O3-40P2O5+xTiO2 (x = 0-64 mol% TiO2). Bylo zjištěno, že přídavek TiO2 vede k nelineárnímu vzrůstu teploty skelné transformace, Tg. Všechna skla při zahřívání krystalizují vteplotním rozmezí 576-670C. Nejvyšší termická stabilita byla zjištěna u skel s přídavkem 12 a 56 mol% TiO2.
