Demand forecast and inventory control influence significantly control of flow of material and its effectiveness and they are thus crucial for efficient logistic system. Statistical methods implemented into information system are the principle of forecastcreation. Acquired results are subsequently passed on to all participating links of supply chain and they confront them with their short-term and long-term plans. Joint forecast is then created according to exact CPFR rules. The goal of this paper is tospecify substance, significance, role and possibilities of exploitation of integrated forecast through implementation of CPFR model into supplier-customer chain and from it resulting benefits for the company (individual chain entities). Targeted literature search in scientific literature and a method of in-depth interview with managers in chosen chemical companies were used as research methods. Předpověď poptávky a řízení zásob výrazným způsobem ovlivňují řízení materiálových toků a jeho efektivnost a jsou tedy kritickými pro výkonný logistický systém. Podstatou tvorby předpovědí jsou statistické metody implementované v informačním systému. Získané výsledky jsou následovně předány všem zúčastněným článkům dodavatelského řetězce, které je porovnají se svými krátkodobými i dlouhodobými plány. Společná předpověď je pak vytvářena podle přesných pravidel CPFR. Cílem příspěvku je vyspecifikovat podstatu, význam, úlohu a možnosti využití integrované předpovědi poptávky zavedením modelu CPFR do dodavatelsko-odběratelského řetězce a z toho vyplývající přínosy pro podnik (jednotlivé články řetězce). Jako výzkumné metody byly použity cílená rešerše odborné literatury a hloubkové rozhovory s manažery vybraných podniků chemického průmyslu.
