Effect of Er3+ substitution on the quality Mg-Fe spinel pigments.
Original language description
Inorganic pigments containing erbium cations and based on spinel structure of MgFe2O4 have been prepared by three methods of preparation bearing in mind their structure and pigmentary-application properties. This type of spinel compound provides pigmentsof red wine to brown colour. Increase in the content of trivalent erbium cations in compounds causes the creation of pigments with a light brown colour hue. The pigments MgFe2O4 have good resistance to sunlight radiation.
