Influencing the anticorrosion efficiency of zinc-pigmented coatings by means of lamellar pigments
Original language description
The zinc powder particles are broadly used pigment for anticorrosive coatings since a series of years ago. The paper deals with morphology and physicochemical aspects of lamellar pigments and fillers in zinc rich coatings. The morphology and particle size distribution of zinc powder affect the electrochemical mechanism in the coating. The lamellar particle shapes of fillers of mineral origin affect the value of optimum volume concentration especially the adhesion-barrier and anticorrosive properties bysynergic effect with zinc powder particles in organic coating.
