Original language description
In this contribution, the methods for determination of the drag coefficient and terminal falling velocity of solid particles moving in various types of non-Newtonain liquids are briefly described and commented. The relationships for calculation of the drag coefficient of spherical and non-spherical particles falling through purely viscous and viscoelastic fluids are presented. The wall effects on the retardation of terminal falling velocity are discussed as well.
