Original language description
This paper deals with adsorption of organic dyes from aqueous solutions on powdered activated carbon. From the adsorption capacity measurements the parameters of Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms were determined. From the kinetic experiments the curves of the adsorbed amount of dye versus contact time were evaluated, where the experimental data were compared with theoretical values calculated according to the pseudo first-order and pseudo second-order theories.
