UV Curing Inks in Printing Industry
Original language description
This paper reviews the use of UV curable inks in printing industry for various printing technologies and summarizes frequent problems occurring during printing and curing process. UV curing of printing inks is based on the free radical or cationic polymerization. The inks cured by free radical polymerization are predominant. The advantages and disadvantages of these polymerization mechanisms are discussed and illustrated on practical applications. The final part is focused on UV dryers used for curing of UV inks.
