Effective Utilization Lubricating Oils in a Result of Electrochemical Control of the Antioxidant Content
Original language description
The proper use of lubricants based on consistent application of tribodiagnostic procedures including suitably selected analytical mathods can reduce negative impact of industry, energetics and transport on environment, especially in the area of minimizing waste generation, consumption of raw materials and energy. The systhematic use of these methost may be an effective tool for regular monitoring the oil degradation or to evaluate the current operating status of the machine in terms of wear. This work deals with the problems related to oil consumption and with associated experimental conditions of voltammetric determination of antioxidants in petroleum products. The results showed that the analysis of antioxidants BHT, BHA and TBHQ may be performed inanorganic solvent - isopropanol in presence H2SO4 using gold dosc electrode and method of linear sweep voltammetry under recommended conditions. In case of synthetic or mineral oil analysis it is necessary to isolate the analyte extractio
