    The Progress in Photoacoustic Characterization of Printed Functional Layers

    The photoacoustic has already been reported as a new optical method for the printed functional layer assessment. The first results on the evaluation of thickness were obtained for the screen printed PEDOT:PSS based layers and silver based conductive composite layers. Recently, further measurements have been proceeded to prove the capability of this method for the evaluation of other functional printed layers (e.g. polyaniline) and more complex structures such as multilayer?s systems. The newest resultsinvolve also the ultrathin printed layers of PEDOT:PSS prepared by gravure printing. This work shows the highlights of this promising evaluation method, such as high sensitivity and the capability of detection of changes in thickness and layer structure.The results on the measurement ultrathin layer, polyaniline screen printed layers and the complex structure of a printed electroluminescent panel are surveyed.
