Thermal Analysis of Polyaniline Poly(N-vinylpyrrolidone)-Stabilized Dispersions
Original language description
The stable polyaniline dispersions stabilized by poly(N-vinylpyrrolidone) (PANI/PVP) were prepared and thermally characterized by TG-DTA analysis. The measured DTA curves show that the powders prepared from PANI/PVP dispersions are stable up to approximately 160 °C. However some elimination of HCl may occur already at temperatures close to 120 °C. Degradation of PANI chain follows at temperatures exceeding 250 °C. The change in the ratio of PANI versus PVP as well as the starting molar concentrations ofANI?HCl and APS have influence on the resulting thermal stability of the dispersions. The dispersions with lower content of PANI exhibit slightly higher thermal stability.
