Original language description
The presented work was aimed to study properties of collagen gelatin and bentonites in mixture with synthetic hydrogels. The mixture should be suitable to decrease content of acrylic components and non-biodegradable residues in soil after using polyacrylate hydrogel as soil conditioner in agricultural or horticultural applications. In addition, collagen gelatin is a source of nutrients after its mineralization in soil and presence of bentonite should contribute to improving the structure and propertiesof the soil due to its high cation exchange capacity. Swelling capacity of gelatin, polyacrylate hydrogel and final composite material were studied. Tested bentonites were characterized by determination of swelling index and cation exchange capacity.
