Original language description
The submitted work deals with high impact polystyrene stabilization against UV degradation by means of a covalently bound UV stabilizer. A steric hindered amine 1,2,2,6,6-pentamethyl-4piperidinol and benzotriazole derivate 2-(2-hydroxy-5-methylphenyl) benzotriazol was selected as a UV stabilizer. The prepared polymeric systems were characterized by means of selected analytical and thermic methods.
