Original language description
The journey towards sustainability for chemical and food industries requires sustainable production and consumption and also requires social responsibility of organizations. Company's stakeholders are more and more asking themselves questions about social impacts of products and production processes. Chemical and food industries can be considered as ones of the most important industries with strong impacts on the society and inducing many social interactions. Both industries are interested in solving the questions of the impacts of their products on health, working conditions, production and product safety, as well as protection of human rights and cultural heritage. The chapter characterizes perceived importance of social impacts of chemical and foodproducts on stakeholders.
