Presented work deals with the possibility of synthesis of violet SnO2 /Cr cassiterite pigments in which a part of tin ions was substituted by praseodymium ions. Pigments have been prepared by classical ceramic method. Pigments were characterized in termsof colour properties, particle size distribution and phase composition.
