Syntesis of Mn/Mg Ferrites Using Unusual Preparation Methods - Comparative Study
Original language description
In this work were compared powders of the spinel structure MFe2O4 (M = Mg, Mn) in terms of their physico-chemical properties, in particular particle size distribution, specific surface area values, color properties, etc. according on the method of preparation. The methods for preparing these compounds were classical ceramic method, calcination of precipitated intermediates obtained at increased pH, calcination of oxalate intermediates obtained by precipitation and solid state reaction and slurry mixingthe raw materials with calcination. The methods using preparation of mixed oxalates with subsequent calcination provides the highest value of specific surface area, high thermal stability, average value of particle size, good color properties and CPVC.
