The presentation deals with the experimental observation of the positive effect of added glucose for the efficient hydrodehalogenation of halogenated anilines using only slight excess of reducing agent (Al-Ni alloy) at room temperature and ambient pressure. The added glucose enables lowering of the amount of reducing Al-Ni alloy required for the complete dehalogenation of monohalogenoanilines dissolved in alkaline aqueous solution.
