Original language description
The reaction of the trans-cyclo-[2,6-Mes(2)C(6)H(3)Sn(O)(OH)](3) with the dimeric pnictogen(III) oxides [2,6-(Me2NCH2)(2)C6H3EO](2) (E = Sb, Bi) proceeds with mutual ring-opening and provided the novel tetranuclear metallastannoxanes [2,6-(Me2NCH2)(2)C6H3E](2,6-Mes(2)C(6)H(3)Sn)(3)O-3(OH)(5) (1, E = Sb; 2, E = Bi) that were fully characterized by X-ray crystallography.
