    The subject of solution is the way of preparation of epsilon-2,4,6,8,10,12-hexanitro-2,4,6,8,10,12-hexaazaisowurtzitane with reduced shock sensitivity, consisting in dissolution of 2,4,6,8,10,12-hexanitro-2,4,6,8,10,12-hexaazaisowurtzitane, potential dehydration of the obtained solution, addition of the recrystallization promoter, phosphorus(V) oxide, to it, stirring of the resulting mixture, its filtration, and precipitation of the filtrate with antisolvent. This procedure gave RS-CL20 with the lowest shock sensitivity together with the highest purity.
