The synthesis is focused on finding the best process and the ratio of starting materials to polymerize sugar units into chains of vinyl acetate and thus enhance biodegradation primarily in the soil environment. The resulting material is in the form of aqueous dispersions, which can be used as packaging for gradually releasing fertilizers or as adhesives.
