In our previous study, we have already reported detailed investigation on Li1+xCrxZr2-x(PO4)3 solid solutions, where the interrelations between their composition, crystal structure, thermal stability, and chromatic characteristics were revealed. However, the electronic spectra of the samples have not been discussed in detail due to limited measured range (VIS) which allowed observation of the existing electronic transition bands only partially. In this contribution, we report the results of the detailed study of the electronic spectra of the samples extended to UV-VIS-NIR measurement range. Interpretation of the results is performed within crystal field theory. Special attention is paid to the relations between substitution degree x, crystal structure and crystal field parameters of the samples.
