Influence of Sulfate Type Waste Water Contamination on H2SO4 and NAOH production by Electrodialysis with Bipolar Membrane
Original language description
The work is focused on the possibility of integrating products of electrodialysis with bipolar membrane into the processing technology of sulfate wastewater treatment plant in GEAM o.z., Dolní Rožínka. In contrast to previous research the laboratory experiments were carried out with real feed stream containing not only sodium sulfate, but also some other ionic pollutants such as cations (K+, Ca2+, Mg2+ and Fe3+) and anions (Cl-, NO3- and F-). Although the results show some unwanted changes in process parameters, these changes are not so important, and whole process can also be successfully implemented with real wastewater.
