Modelling of economic and environmental impacts of Energy generation using of Waste Paper.
Original language description
The article focuses on issues of energy generation from municipal waste paper. After the analysis, which is made on the basis of evidence that recycling of waste paper does not always represent the best solution in terms of sustainability, a possibilityfor its energy use is proposed. Two models are forwarded - for the combined production of thermal and electrical energy and for the transport. The theoretical background and proposed models are verified for concrete calculation on the basis of waste management in the chosen city in CR. Software based on Petri nets was used for model construction. The advantage of the model proposed in this manner is the simple and precise quantification of the environmental and economic impacts of the proposed measures;these are the main reasons for its good utilization as a tool for supporting managerial decision-making.
