    This article contains the results of statistical analysis of the highest salaries in the Slovak Republic in 2009. The information from the sample generalizes to the population using the Pareto distribution of wages, higher than the 99th percentile. Thereare also identifies the factors that have a significant impact on the frequency and on the level of extreme salaries.
