Original language description
The paper presents design of economic and environmental parameters which characterize the regions of the Czech Republic. Based on these parameters models were designed which are related to economic performance and environment. Using the listed facts, itis possible to look for connections of economic performance and environmental quality of individual regions in the Czech Republic. The modeling as such is realized based on neural networks with unsupervised learning, i.e. using Kohonen's self-organizing feature maps.
