Available Methods of Measuring Corruption
Original language description
The aim of this paper is to describe and analyze the available methods of measuring the level of corruption in the country. There have been created many definitions of corruption, just as there are many indices that attempt to measure it. This divergences of view on the definition and quantification of corruption means that each of the techniques of measuring the level of corruption in the country varies considerably. They differ in their source materials, way of measuring, but especially in their conclusions. The selected measurement approaches will be demonstrated on the corruption of the Czech Republic in order to determine the current position of the Czech Republic in these indices.
