Waste management and collection of separated waste is today an important problem of each municipality. The whole waste management system must be set up in the way which satisfies both citizens and municipal management which is responsible for this service. The main task of the company emptying recycling containers is to prepare an optimized plans and models for their emptying. For this purpose, a lot of various types of data are required. Then, data can be analyzed and optimized plans can be created. The paper describes a case study for the city of Pardubice in the Czech Republic.
