Original language description
The objective of this article is to introduce two alternative approaches to evaluation of road safety, its risks respectively. The first objective focuses on the evaluation of the overall road safety in Czech regions based on the so called Road safety rate. The second approach focuses on a much smaller segment of road transportation, the transportation of dangerous substances, and also on concrete dangerous locations/spots along the transportation route. The objective is to define the probability of anaccident arising and of its potential impacts on the environment.
