The article examines the concept of Lean production. Lean production has been recognised as a competitive advantage for a long time. Due to using its methods companies can achieve success in the growth of productivity and at the same time avoiding waste. Insightful implementation of lean is necessary for high-value manufacturing and is complementary to strategic decision making regarding manufacture. This research uses a case study to demonstrate the application of a lean logistics and its tolls to increasing efficiency. Article deals with selected lean tools focused mainly on lean logistics and material flow. It also outlines the role of logistics and modern trends in the field of industrial engineering.
