In the first part of paper is analysed develop of Czech transport during the last 10 years and its impacts on environmental. Ecological sorts of transport are not sufficiently able to compete. One of the solutions is new access to intermodal transport -improved the interactivity, interconnectivity and interoperability of Trans European intermodal transport that must be customer oriented and offer favourable price. Short-term solution of intermodal transport in the Czech republic is subsidies combined transport (for example system Ro-Lo between Czech republic and Germany). Priority of long-term solution must be higher quality and better price, which can able competes on transport market - one of these projects is prepared on department of transport technology and control in this time. This project (which is short describe in the last part of paper) will be identify the conditions for improved intermodal transport between the Czech Republic and other European countries.
