    Comments on Application of Coloured Petri Net within ABAsim Architecture of Simulation Models

    Petri nets represent a convenient formalism for utilisation within agent-based architectures of simulation models exploiting message-oriented communication paradigm. Petri nets can describe the logic of internal agent components. The mentioned approach supports higher flexibility of simulation models as well as formal analysis related to relevant parts of those models. ABAsim architecture (as an example) already utilizes P/T Petri nets for description of internal components of agents, whereas the current research pays attention to the application of non-hierarchical coloured Petri nets for the same purpose because of higher modelling capabilities of that kind of Petri nets.
