Analysis of the influence of the friction coefficient on the guiding behaviour
Original language description
An analysis of the influence of the friction coefficient in the wheel/rail contact on the guiding behaviour of a four-axled diesel-electric locomotive in small-radius curves was performed in this work. By means of simulations, the quasistatic guiding forces acting on the outer wheels of the 1st and 3rd wheelset of the vehicle were observed. An influence of the wheel/rail contact geometry and the curve radius was assessed, as well. The simulations were realized by means of the original multi-body programsystem "SJKV" developed at the Detached Branch of the Jan Perner Transport Faculty in Česká Třebová but also by means of the commercial program system SIMPACK.
