Method of dynamic tensile tests for high-strength steels
Original language description
Tensile tests of steels are usually determined under specified strain rates - up to 0,008 s-1. However, many steel alloys with increasing strain rate increase their mechanical properties, such as yield strength and ultimate strength. These values are relevant not only for describing the steel, but also for FEM calculations of structures, loaded by dynamic strains during their possible lifetime (e.g. safety parts of vehicles).
