Long-distance cycling is currently rising across Europe. This is due to people's desire to combine healthy lifestyle and travel with effortless environmentally sustainable transport. The river Elbe is one of the longest European rivers. Along this riverthere is already nearly completed a continuous cycle route which has a length of more than 1200 kilometers. The first third of this trail is located in the Czech Republic and the rest lays in Germany. The paper elaborates analysis of basic accommodationinfrastructure in different locations on the trail. This paper aims to identify bottlenecks of infrastructure on the Czech parts of the trail resulting from comparison to the German parts. Removals of these vulnerabilities would allow the creation of positive image of the Czech parts of the trail and encourage development of cycling in Czech regions.
