Laparoscopic Hernia Repair
Original language description
The groin hernia repair is most common procedures in general surgery. The standard method has been changed during the last decade. Performance of this procedure by means of a tension-free synthetic mesh is a gold standard at this time. The pacement of the mesh during a laparoscopic approach is feasible and very advantageus for the patients. We performed 2,298 procedures for groin hernia. The laparoscopic approach was represented by 1,241 cases and the classical approach was provided in 1,057 cases. We noticed these complications: testicle swelling, neuralgia or hypesthesia in the groin region, scrotum haematoma, wound infections, recurrence rate, bleeding from epigastric vessels, testicular atrophy, deferens duct injury, urinary bladder perforation, urinary bladder thermic injury, ostitis of the pubic bone, incisional hernia and small intestine injury. Conversion was not necessery.
