The contribution presents a method of simulated determination of the optimum regime of a reactor in which a reversible reaction A B takes place. The quantity optimized is the production cost of one unit of product B; the quantities regulated are the volume of reaction mixture in the reactor and the reaction temperature. The text describes the ways of determination of limiting values of confidence intervals, and the experimental data are used for evaluating the confidence intervals depending upon variousvalues of uncertainties of 'measured' values. The uncertainty in data causes broadening of the confidence interval as well as increased migration of the read values, which results in an increase in characteristics of goodness of fit of the regression dependence. A good accordance between the experimental results and theoretical presumptions has been found.
