    Magnetostrictive testing method for steel structures

  • Original language description

    The steel frame of a press was put under tensible and compressive stress and the varying magnetic induction was measured with a sensitive magnetometer VEMA 030 of the firm EDIS Košice. The sensitivity of the magnetometer is enough experimentally to verifymagnetostriction incl. Inverse magnetostriction. With disturbing efects caused by low frequency and stationary magnetic fields due to public traffic eliminated, the variation of magnetic induction of the given material was determined as a function of tension and compression.
