CONCRETE MIX DESIGN WITH GYPSUM FREE CEMENT
Original language description
The use of concrete with gypsum free cement (GFCC) requires resolving the issue of mix design. Gypsum free cement concrete are noted for high initial strength. After 3 days the strength of concrete can reach the value comparable with the strength of common cement after 28 days. The concrete with gypsum free cement are identified to repair works and structures which has to be in use very soon, it usually means after 1 or 3 days. Concrete mix design should concern these special properties. For mix designof GFCC is not possible use the same strength equations as for normal gypsum Portland cements, mentioned strength equations consider the 28 days strength. New strength equations for GFCC were elaborated and make possible assessment of strength after from1 to 7 days. Mix design should also consider aggregate porosity, which sould not be more than 25%. Ideal porosity is less than 22%.
