Service life of reinforced concrete structures is determined by quality of implementation and by corrosive effects of environment. It is possible to remarkably extend service life of present concrete structures by proper repair work. Proper repair work is based on accurate site investigation design of suitable repair materials. Quality of coating is one of the most important aspects influencing durability. The paper describes in brief types of concrete deterioration, evaluation of deterioration and deesign of proper repair work step by step. Evaluation of service life extension is included.
