Analysis of Digital Cadastral Maps in Brno Cadastral Area - Czech Republic
Original language description
In Czech Republic exists since 1993 obligatory conception of creation digital cadastre documentation including cadastral maps. Digital maps are created in two ways: remake of old graphic sources or less common based upon recent numeric data. Obligatory regulations enact government administration to make accuracy control of each new created digital cadastral map regardless its origin. The required control though has only limited extent. The government administration i.e. cadastre offices have neither thorough analysis nor human or financial potential. This is the main reason for cadastre office of South Moravian region to cooperate with Brno University of Technology. University research group together with cadastre offices are dealing with the problem of accuracy of digital cadastre maps and are trying to solve it.
