Research of fresh concrete treatment against desorption by means of polymers

  • Original language description

One of the most important factors for final surface quality in concreting of large dimension slabs is to secure minimum vaporization of water necessary for cement hydration. This is the reason, that a new material based on polymer resin was developed forprotection of hydrating concrete surface. The aim of this work is thereafter the resistance comparison of treated and not treated concrete and evaluation of actually tested material usability including the determination of testing methods. Ordinary cooncrete treatment needs to secure sufficient abundance of water for hydration and to limit the undesirable tensile and compressive stresses in concrete structure which can be formed by quick drying of the concrete surface
