The contribution deals with assessment of the directing discharge of water from reservoir. For assessment of the directing discharge of water from reservoir was chosen the genetic algorithm method from large set of optimization methods. The solution wascomputed in MATLAB by Genetic Algorithm and Direct Search Toolbox. The maim task of this contribution was verified efficient using of genetic algorithm for determination of the controlling quantity in our fictive reservoir model, which was demonstrated.

Článek se zabývá stanovením řídícího odtoku vody z nádrže. Z velké řady optimalizačních úloh byla zvolena a testována metoda použití genetických algoritmů. Úloha byla zprogramována v prostředí MATLAB s využitím Genetic Algorithm and Direct Search Toolboxu. Cílem tohoto článku bylo ověření možnosti použití genetických algoritmů pro stanovení řídícího odtoku vody z nádrže.
