The paper deals with the abilities of the resistance curves concept in structural analysis, i.e. the prediction of load-displacement diagram from the R-curve. The technique of determination of an R-curve independent on the specimen size and geometry andits transformation into the load-displacement diagram is illustrated in the paper on an example of a three-point-bending notched beam made of concrete for railway sleepers.
