The Laboratory of Water Management Research at the Department of Water Structures of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Brno University of Technology has long time experience and continues the tradition in the specific branch of the research - physical modeling. More than 70 years tradition has been representing physical modeling at this laboratory at this time. Selected examples of the research carried out last years are described. Some of the physical models represent basic research due to grant or Europe projects (the last of them have no. 103/06/0461, 103/04/0741, ESF project CZ.04.1.03/3.2.15.2/0292 and E!3838 of Eureka program).
