Structural analysis of a cable-stayad pedestrian bridge

  • Original language description

Complex structural analysis of a three span cable stayed pedestrian bridge has been carried out. The analysis has involved the design of the load carrying structural system. The suspension system of pylons, steel cables and flooring hangers has been optimized. dynamic analysis of the bridge has been carried out. susceptibility of the structure to aeroelastic effects has been assessed, and vortex induced vibrations have been analyzed. Fatigue analysis of selected structural memebers has been carried out.The steps of successive mounting of the prefabricated reinforced concrete slabs of the prestressed flooring have been optimized. Loading tests of the bridge have proved the predictions of the numerical analyses.
