    RESEARCH ON ACOUSTIC METHODS FOR NONDESTRUCTIVE TESTING OF CERAMIC TILES

    Nondestructive testing (NDT), also called nondestructive examination (NDE) and nondestructive inspection (NDI), is testing that does not destroy the test object. NDE is vital for constructing and maintaining all types of components and structures. To detect different defects such as cracking and corrosion, there are different methods of testing available, such as X-ray (where cracks show up on the film) and ultrasound (where cracks show up as an echo blip on the screen). Between a perspective nondestructive method include non-linear ultrasonic spectroscopy and passive acoustic emission (Imact-echo method). The paper presents results acquired from methods non-linear ultrasonic spectroscopy with one exciting signal and passive acoustic emission.

    Úkolem nedestruktivního testování je zjistit, zda příslušný dílec, výrobek nebo zařízení nemají defekt ve smyslu odchylky od normativních standardů, a pokud se nějaký defekt najde, určit jeho povahu a zjistit, kde se nalézá. Detekce, identifikace a lokalizace defektů představuje diagnostiku technického stavu testovaného objektu. Článek prezentuje výsledky získané testováním keramických dlaždic pasivní metodou akustické emise a nelineární ultrazvukovou spektroskopií.
