In the production of modern building materials we are confronted with the problem of finding locally available material bases. Further we meet the endeavor to improve the effectiveness of the building materials manufacture and to decrease the energy consumption of the production. Natural organic materials coming from the agricultural production (or from wood processing) represent from the mentioned point of view a very favorable raw material source. The use of organic materials on natural basis in building structures has some negative aspects, which play down the qualities of these materials after building them in and eventually also their service life. The paper concerns the research of the thermal insulation materials on organic base after building them into structures and the effects which are caused by building-in these materials into building structures.
