Limit load of multi-sectional thin-walled system influenced by initial shape imperfection
Original language description
The article deals with various geometrical arrangements of thin-walled structures, i.e. szstem made of slender plate elements. Among their most frequently used types are steel plate girders having a slender web, with vertical stiffeners. The behaviour ofsteel girders is substantiallzy affected bz the buckling of the girder web. To solve the problem by means of FEA, the program system ANSYS was used. The thin-walled profile geometry was modelled by a four-node shell element which makes it possible to solve physical and geometrically non-linear problems. The influence of various magnitude of sine wave initial imperfection on load carrying capacity will be investigated.
