The aim of this article is to determine effective shape of strake system submitted of wind induced vibrations. The basic shape of structure is thin-walled cylinder. The analysis is based on CFD, a special computation of the velocity field surrounding thestructure has been carried out. It was made 9 models of cylinder with using different strake systems in multiphysical system ANSYS. These models are captivited wind action.
