The paper is focused on damage identification of dynamically loaded structures using two alternative methods: artificial neural network and sensitivity based methods. The damage and variability of material properties (stiffness) along the structure are studied. The modla properties of a structure are used as input parameters for identification. Parametric study of their applicability for damage identification is studied.
